As a planning guide, smaller custom pedestrian gate projects generally range from 3,500–5,000, while custom driveway gates and complete entry systems commonly range from 15,000–60,000 or more. Fencing is quoted based on its length, height, materials, and installation requirements.
Your final price depends on the design, fabrication details, site conditions, and any automation or access controls. During your free consultation, we’ll explain your options and provide a detailed estimate for your property.
How long does the entire process take from consultation to installation?
Most custom projects take approximately 4–12 weeks after design approval. Before that, we’ll visit your property, prepare an estimate, take detailed fabrication measurements, and work through your design with you.
The schedule depends on the project’s size, materials, finish, automation, and any required approvals. On-site installation typically takes a few days for residential projects. We’ll explain your expected timeline during the consultation and keep you updated throughout the project.
Can you customize the gate or fence to match my home's architecture?
Yes. Every gate and fence is designed around your property, from the overall proportions to the slat spacing, privacy level, finish, and hardware. We can create clean horizontal or vertical designs for contemporary homes, ornamental metalwork for traditional properties, or natural wood designs that complement your landscaping and exterior.
We can also coordinate your driveway gate, pedestrian gate, and fencing for a consistent appearance. If you’re working with an architect, designer, or builder, we can collaborate with them on the details.
What materials do you offer, and which is best for my property?
We specialize in custom welded aluminum, steel/iron, and select woods, including iroko and cedar.
Aluminum suits clean, contemporary designs and offers corrosion resistance with relatively little upkeep. Steel/iron works well for substantial frames, ornamental details, and traditional architectural styles, with galvanizing and protective finishes selected for the project. Iroko and cedar bring natural warmth and character, but require ongoing finish care.
We’ll help you compare the appearance, maintenance, exposure, and structural needs of each option during your consultation.
Do you install automatic driveway gates and access control systems?
Yes. We handle the gate fabrication, installation, and automation together, selecting the motor and hardware around the gate’s size, weight, opening style, and daily use.
Depending on your needs, we can incorporate remotes, keypads, intercoms, and smartphone access. We’ll also assess your driveway’s slope and available clearance to recommend a suitable swing, sliding, bi-parting, or folding configuration. If you want to connect the gate to an existing system, we’ll review compatibility before specifying the equipment.
What happens during the initial in-home consultation?
We visit your property to understand what you want to achieve, whether that’s more privacy, better security, easier access, or an entrance that better suits your home.
We take initial measurements, assess the existing gate or fence and site conditions, and discuss designs, materials, finishes, and automation options. You’re welcome to share inspiration photos or architectural plans. The consultation and estimate are free; detailed fabrication measurements and CAD drawings follow once you decide to move forward.
Can I see and approve my design before fabrication begins?
Yes. Once you approve the estimate and move into the design stage, our fabrication team takes detailed measurements and prepares CAD drawings for your review.
These drawings show the proposed layout, dimensions, and design details so you can understand what we’ll build and request adjustments before approving it. They are fabrication drawings rather than photorealistic renderings. We begin fabrication after you’ve signed off on the design.
What does your 10-year warranty cover?
Warranty coverage is specific to the materials, finishes, and components used in your project. Your written agreement explains what’s covered and for how long, including any separate coverage for gate motors and access-control equipment. If an issue arises after installation, contact our office, we’ll review the problem, explain the applicable coverage, and coordinate the next steps.
